Edit Course Information

Within a course, you can edit all basic course details under the Information tab.

General Course Information

In the first card, you can configure:

  • The course image

  • The title

  • The short description

These details are shown directly to your members when they open the respective course.


Course Description & Course Goals

Below this, you can add a more detailed course description. This field is optional.

Once you define a course description or course goals, an additional section called “Course Information” will appear for your members inside the course.

In the course goals, you can clearly describe what learning outcomes your members can expect from the course.


Assign Authors

You can also define the authors of the course.
Here, you can select all team members (admins) from your LearningSuite who contributed to the course.

Important: Make sure the respective team members have added a profile picture so they can be displayed correctly.


Hide Course in Overview

With the option “Hide course in overview”, you can choose to hide the course from the regular course overview for members.

This feature is especially useful when:

  • The course should only be accessible via a special link, or

  • It should only be accessible through a Hub link


Show Course Progress

You can decide whether the percentage-based course progress should be visible to members.

If this option is enabled, members will see their individual progress within the course.

This feature is often used when building courses according to the requirements of the Distance Learning Protection Act.

Notification When a Module Is Released

Under “Notification when a module is released”, you can decide whether members should automatically receive an email notification when new modules within the course are published.

This way, your members will immediately know when new content becomes available.

The corresponding email can be customized under Settings → Email.
