In addition to the security mechanism of Course versions, LearningSuite also allows you to individually control the visibility of your modules, sections, and lessons.
This lets you define exactly when and how content is made available to your Members.
Set module visibility
The following options are available for modules:
Visible: The module is displayed to Members, provided that the latest Course version has been published.
Important note:
If a module contains no content or all content within the module is set to “Hidden,” the module will not be displayed.
Additional options:
After previous: The module can only be opened once the previous module has been completed in full.
Days delay: The module is only unlocked after a specified number of days once the Member has received access to the Course.
Example: If you set 7 days, the module will be released 7 days after Course access is granted.Date range: Members only have access to the module during a specific period. This is suitable, for example, for events, time-limited promotions, or seasonal content.
Coming soon: Members can see that the module will be available soon.
However, it cannot be opened yet.Locked: Members do not receive direct access but can submit a request for this module. This feature is particularly suitable for upsell offers or additional premium content.
Hidden: The module is completely invisible to Members.
Visibility of sections and lessons
In addition to module visibility, you can also control individual sections and lessons.
Three options are available here:
Visible: Members can view and open the content.
Draft: The content is not visible to Members.
Coming soon: Members can see that the content will be available soon, but cannot open it.
Quick action for entire sections
You can change the visibility of all lessons within a section with just one click.
You can find this feature under section visibility in “Quick actions”:
This allows you to unlock, hide, or set multiple lessons to “Coming soon” at the same time, without having to edit each lesson individually.
