In addition to the security mechanism for course versions, LearningSuite lets you individually control the visibility of your modules, sections, and lessons.
This allows you to define exactly when and how content is unlocked for your members.
Set Module Visibility
The following options are available for modules:
Visible: The module is displayed to members, provided that the latest course version has been published.
Important note:
If a module does not contain any content or all content within the module is set to “Hidden,” the module will not be displayed.
Additional options:
After Previous: The module can only be opened once the previous module has been completed in full.
Days Delay: The module is unlocked only after a specified number of days have passed since the member was granted access to the course.
Example: If you set 7 days, the module will be unlocked 7 days after course access is granted.Coming Soon: Members can see that the module will be available soon.
However, it cannot be opened yet.Conditions: Members unlock the module when they meet the conditions you have set. We explain how this works in a separate article.
On Request: Members can see the module but must request access. You or your instructors can approve or decline the request. You can add text that is displayed to members and specify whether they must provide a reason for the request.
Locked: The module is displayed as locked to members. This option is suitable, for example, for making upsell offers or premium content visible that members must purchase separately.
Hidden: The module is completely invisible to members.
Visibility of Sections and Lessons
In addition to module visibility, you can also control individual sections and lessons.
Various options are available:
Visible: Members can view and open the content.
Draft: The content is not visible to members.
Coming Soon: Members can see that the lesson will be available soon but cannot open it yet.
Quick Action for Entire Sections
You can change the visibility of all lessons within a section with just one click.
You can find this feature in Section Visibility under “Quick Actions”:
This allows you to unlock, hide, or set multiple lessons to “Coming Soon” at the same time without having to edit each lesson individually.
